Q: How long can a unit be leased for?
A: Our units can be used for as long as needed, as long as the monthly storage fee is paid.
Q: What can I store in my unit?
A: We prohibit the storage of any explosive, highly flammable material and/or dangerous substance in all of our units. We also prohibit the unit be used to conduct business and/or for the storage of any items that would violate any law or ordinance, violate any provisions on the insurance policy on the building or result in any increase on the policy on the building or result in any increase of the landlord’s operating cost. As well, at NO time will any pet or human food products be allowed to be stored within the premises.
Q: What method of payment do you accept?
A: We accept VISA, MasterCard, Debit, E-transfers, Post-dated cheques and Cash as payment.
Q: When can I get access to my goods?
A: Our gate hours are 7am – 9pm 7 days a week.
Q: Do I need insurance for my goods?
A: We do not require our tenants to have their goods insured, however we do highly recommend it, as we are not liable for any property which our tenants place within their unit.
Q: Do you sell moving supplies?
A: At this time we do not stock moving supplies. Please see our Labels page, under the Forms tab, for printing your own box labels.
Q: Can I install shelves?
A: We do not allow any installed shelving or racks of any kind.
Q: Do I have to give notice when moving out?
A: We require a 2 week notification before tenants move out.
Q: What happens if I pay my rent late?
A: A monthly rent for the storage unit is payable in advance of the due date of each month. A further paymetn of 2.5% interest must be paid by the tenant on the balance of the statement after 10 days. If the tenants cheque is retunred to the landlord for any reason, there will be an additional fee of $25.
Q: When will I get my deposit back?
A: The deposit will be returned to the tenant, upon sufficient cleaning of the undamaged unit 2 – 3 days following unit inspection.
Q: Will you send me a monthly invoice?
A: Invoices will be sent be email only, and upon request by the tenant.
